Qld: Woman in hospital after falling to avoid spooked horse
BRISBANE, Aug 7, AAP - A woman is recovering in hospital after she fell trying to avoid
a frantic police horse in Brisbane.
The 63-year-old woman fell and lost consciousness during Brisbane Ekka celebrations
at the RNA Showgrounds today after the horse became spooked by a passing train.
She is recovering in Royal Brisbane Hospital.
Police said it was an unusual response from the horse, as most of their horses were
well-trained and popular among children.
