QLD:Chinchilla expecting new flood peak

GOLD COAST, Jan 12 AAP - More homes and businesses in Chinchilla are being flooded,
as waters rise above the expected peak of 7.5m.
Mayor of the Western Downs Regional Council, Ray Brown, says more evacuations have
been carried out, with 36 houses and 30 businesses under water just before noon (AEST)
on Wednesday.
"The flood peak for Charley's Creek has been revised up to 7.8 metres which is much
bigger than the flood we had 10 days ago," he told AAP.
