Vic: Road rage killer had record , court told

MELBOURNE, Feb 26 AAP - A road-rage killer who stabbed a drunk man to death at a suburban
roundabout had been convicted of attacking another motorist in 1985, the Supreme Court
was told today.
Paul Winter, 39, of Chelsea Heights, today faced a pre-sentencing hearing after earlier
this month being acquitted of murder but found guilty of manslaughter.
The court was told that the victim, 35-year-old David Vanvelzen, died from a stab wound
to the neck following a brief row with Winter.
