Vic: Boy falls off car bonnet, gets run over
MELBOURNE, Aug 27 AAP - A nine-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after fallingoff the bonnet of a moving car and being run over south-east of Melbourne last night.
Police Senior Constable Allan Briggs said the boy fell under the silver Ford sedanon Homestead Road, Berwick about 7.20pm (AEST).
Metropolitan Ambulance spokesman James Howe said he was flown to the Royal Children'sHospital in a serious condition with leg, abdominal and shoulder injuries.
"There was a possibility he could have some internal injuries as well," he said.
Mr Howe said the injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
Snr Const Briggs said a male relative of the boy who was driving the car was beinginterviewed by police early today.
